About Me
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, I was raised in the heart of Highlandtown on the East side of the City. I grew up in a
strongly ethnic community of friendly and caring neighbors. I attended Catholic schools; St. Elizabeth’s Elementary School
and graduated from Catholic High School. An avid reader, my love of books initially sparked my desire to write while in
High School. My first attempts included poetry to describe my life and my emotional responses to people and circumstances.
I have always been inspired by nature and trees and flowers and animals. I love roses, daisies, lilies and sunflowers. I am also
a devoted cat lover.
While I still compose poems, my writing skills have grown to include very emotional stories for young children eight-to-ten
years of age. My stories focus on the importance of relationships with humans and animals as children discover the world
around them every day. Their journeys through those early childhood years are what shape all of us into the adults we all
become in life.
